Maxing it out- The Indian Way 17

Hey Guys,

Since we are close to the end of 2015 and it’s all about festivities and weddings at this time of the year I thought what better but to put together a festive look book for you all. I love to mix and match. Be it diverse styles or prints ,I can’t stop. I adore  how it makes every piece in your wardrobe reusable. So I made sure, every outfit has some very basic pieces which we all have but with a fresh twist.

Today’s outfit is all about bright colors and fusion dressing. You could wear it to a sangeet , Mehdi or even a cocktail. We all have our summer time maxis pushed down our cupboards, don’t we?  I think it is time you show them some love again. Because they look stunning when paired with a bit of Indianness!

I paired this gorgeous maxi which I got from was love at first sight, and I got the last piece before it was sold out) with a coral palazzo. Now I could do that because the maxi ended a couple inches above my ankle. But if yours isn’t, don’t worry; try pairing it with an A-line skirt in a solid color. Don’t be afraid to experiment girls because that’s the beauty of fashion and that is exactly how you will get  your own personal style.

Now the dress has a very quirky print with mirror detailing , which for me shouts ethnic but the neckline and the asymmetrical cut give it a very modern look. The palazzo is in a complementing coral shade and I did go out of my comfort zone when I skipped the usual black or white bottoms for this one. And why not, marriages are all about bright & bold colors.

I love gold, but silver has a soft corner in my heart. The rustic charm silver has fascinated me. And I am a statement accessory person. I’d rather wear one stunner and get it over with. And if you are in doubt, it always works. So I matched these lovely jhumkas and silver bangles together. The earrings are super light even with that size and were such a steal at 300 bucks. I got both of these on my last visit to Jaipur.

I kept the heels neutral, with these nude peep-toes. For my makeup I have some CC cream on with a brown smokey eye, tons of mascara and berry lips. Since winters are all about dark lip shades  , I totally got away with it.
