Thanks for all the love and appreciation on my first blog post. It means a lot to me.So the next addition to the festive lookbook could be your Christmas or Cocktail/Bachelorette look. The LND- Lace Naked Dress or just a naked dress. Yes! that is what it is called and it has been sported by quite a few Bollywood celebrities like Mira Kapoor & Malaika Arora Khan. It is called so due to the ‘naked underneath’ illusion it creates and often the sheer accents.
Mine is a midi length skater one which is a combo I love. Firstly I find this length really classy, easy to carry and winter appropriate. Secondly, who doesn’t like to twirl around in skater dresses right? So when I found this on Koovs.com recently, it was an instant buy. The dress has a great fit & is a gorgeous navy blue, which is again a favourite colour. If you are ever unsure about what colour to wear except the black, go for this gorgeous shade.
Since the Lace dress is a statement maker in itself and I wanted it to stay that way, I paired it with very soft accessories. By soft I mean they are there but they do not overpower our LND. These gorgeous gold leaf hoops are my favourite at the moment. They have this Grecian touch to them which I am going gaga over. These look great with both Indian and western wear. Plus their teal drop breaks the monotone of the blues just as I wanted.
For my wrists, I am hardly ever without a watch so I combined my Fossil Rose Gold watch with a statement Zariin ring. I always love to add a bit of Indian in my outfits, and this ring does that perfectly without losing the modern appeal.
To finish the look I added this Lip clutch By Aldo to add some quirk to the look. All pastel = pink and blue- a bit of summer in the winter ha? Why not! And these teal and maroon T-strap sandals held the entire outfit together. A safer option could be nude or black pumps but I am not playing safe these days.
I matched my lipstick with maroon in my heels, it felt more uniform that way and a classic red never gets out of vogue. My hair is side swept waves, no fuss there! Add sunglasses if you are heading for a day time event!
Hope you guys like the outfit. Do let me know!
