Don’t we all miss our school? No matter how much we hated it at the time or cursed getting up in the morning, you start to realise the awesomeness of that time as you move to college and all the grown up mess that continues ever after. School is the place for the “ First” time for a lot of things in life.
I too miss that time and I wanted to feel like the same again through my style.I have tried to feel as free and carefree as I was back in school, and so this Outfit is inspired by back to school memories which get a makeover with #backtoschool2016! I also would love to see your interpretations of the #backtoschool2016 so go ahead and tag your outfits with the hashtag #backtoschool2016.
Aaah! Enough nostalgia for now and lets move on to what I wore.
The first thing I remember is my tunics and frocks with such vibrant floral, polka prints and ruffles and so much texture. So I went ahead and picked this floral dress from Mango. This dress also has a very 2016 feel to it with its Pastel colors. It has a slight ruffle layer at the sleeves which kind of gives it more #backtoschool feel.
For my shoes, I was absolutely keen on wearing my super fun and quirky Stan Smith sneakers.
Like you guys already don’t know that SNEAKERS are the IN thing for 2016.
I added those ankle-length socks that was so ‘THE TREND’ back then.
I kept my jewellery to a minimum with just my owl-shaped studs from ForeverNew and my Rose-Gold watch because I am still obsessed with it.
My bag matches my dress so well Right? Yes it was completely intentional. The bag can stuff so many of my notebooks and essentials, that it pretty much got me into the feel I was gonna head back to school.
I left my hair open. For my makeup. some thickly lined eyes and coral matte lips.
