Get your Colorblock-outfit on and be all ready for work or that quick lets meet and eat date.Ask me Why?
First, they shout out fun like nothing else. Color-blocking is basically using two colors on the opposite sides of the colour wheel, to achieve the widest contrast possible. But that doesn’t mean you can’t experiment with it. I have color-blocked two extremely different shades of the same color family in this outfit and I love the vibrancy they give.
Quick tip – Color-blocking is a great way to make you appear thinner, so no matter what body type you have it will suit you well.
This colorblock-outfit is perfect for both work-days and week-nights. I have teamed two of my most versatile and worn pieces in this outfit- my royal blue button-down shirt and turquoise blue body con skirt. I had been thinking about this combination for so long and a work meeting followed by a evening out with friends gave me the perfect time to finally sport this look.
I didn’t need a ton of space that day, so I opted for my blush pink mini-tote which neutralised the colour in the outfit really well. Added a bit of sparkle to my day with some ankle-strap heels which has such cute glitter detailing on them. I am sans any jewellery in this outfit and it was a pleasant break in this heat.
I am going super bright with my lipsticks these days and summers do call for bright corals, pinks, oranges and reds. I winged my eyes ( by now I am sure you all know how much I love a winged eye) used some matte eyeshadows and finished the make-up with my favourite lipstick this summer- Mac ALL FIRED UP which is a stunning pink-red shade which will suit both Light to Medium Skin-tones pretty well.
That glow on my cheeks is courtesy of the Savanna Colors Rose Blush in the shade 08 and the review will be up next with all my GIVEWAY DETAILS in it.
Do let me know if you guys enjoyed this colour combination and you would sport it!
