Kurti is a wardrobe essential. Don’t we all own one. And there are tons of ways you can wear your kurta which I am sure you all already know.
For the third outfit of my Indo-Western LookBook, I wanted to give a new twist to our Desi Basics. You will find that you can put together this outfit real quick in any color you love.
The biggest Advantage of this outfit-
YOU CAN REUSE AND RE-WEAR EVERY PIECE IN COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WAYS
My favorite color is blue (if you hadn’t already guessed ) and I wanted to use this one color only in this outfit. So I paired my Kurti, skirt and Dupatta all in shades of blue. Creates a beautiful ombre doesn’t it?
The Kurti is a recent buy from Pantaloons perfect for spring and summer with red embroidered details on the neck. And I think that worked out well because I, later on, paired it with maroon heels. Also this an A-line kurti so it will suit any body type. If you have a thicker and shorter lower body this will work wonders for you and make you taller!
The pleated skirt is a staple and I have already styled it in 5 different ways! So I ditched my palazzos for this less conventional western skirt. It is again in a complimentary shade of blue as my Kurti.
Any Indian look is incomplete if you don’t include a gorgeous dupatta, so I raid my mom’s closet and found this ocean blue dupatta with signature Indian works of Zari and Tilla work on it. I think I fell in love with the golden and pink details of this stole.
For my accessories, I teamed my Pipa Bella earrings with a golden wrist cuff. The earrings have blue, red and green details on them which I think complemented the Kurti really well.
Finished the look with my Marsala Pointed pumps and my Jaipuri purse – also my Favorite clutch right now.
