Can’t believe its my 5th shirtdress outfit already!
Shirtdress is an absolute favourite for me this season, if you all haven’t guessed that. And why won’t they be? Stylish, comfortable, versatile and easy to carry is what a shirtdress is to me.
The last outfit that I did with this shirt-dress was all sassy and cute. This time around I wanted you guys to see a more traditional way to sport these since a lot of you find the indo-western styling easier to carry. So this outfit is the same western piece that gets a Desi Tadka this summer.
I am sure all of you must own a palazzo or any wide-legged pant for that matter. And if you don’t you should invest in one pair at least since they are quite the rage and summer appropriate. I used the most comfortable pair I own, this one is black with paisley block print on it.
Quick Tip – If you have a heavy lower abdomen or you don’t feel very confident in skinny fits or narrow cuts Opt for Wide-legged or Boot cut pants which are high waisted.
The cotton fabric makes it a irresistible choice because honestly, its just burning here in Bhopal, so I can just wonder how hot it must be getting in Delhi and other northern parts of India.
I then wore my shirt-dress as you would wear a kurta over a palazzo. Yes, it was as simple as that!
But it gave a fresh twist to my ensemble, and I was not worried about adding years to my age. I know a lot of girls feel that Indian clothes would make you look older, but I urge you to think again and out of the box.
I kept the majority of buttons from my waist down unbuttoned since it gave it a more modern feel and also made it easier for me to walk.
I carried my orange bag from @stevemadden for a fresh pop of tangerine. This is also one of my favourite bags due to the space it has and the lovely colour. For my footwear, I wore my strappy glitter sandals which go well with almost everything I wear.
Just a gold bangle in my wrists, to let the attention stay on the colors of our dress.
I have neutral eye makeup with hints of pink and bright fuchsia lips along with my hair swept to one side. Used just a bit of salt spray to add more definition to my wavy hair.
Let me know how you all find it and share it with your Girlfriends to spread the numerous n fun ways to wear your shirts!
